Steve Whitmore, MSW, LMSW

About Me: 

Steve Whitmore received his Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Wayne State University in 1990.  He has worked in various settings including outpatient, day treatment and schools.  Most recently, Steve worked as a school social work consultant and taught at Western Michigan University.  Steve is excited to return back to an outpatient setting and to join the Compassionate Christ Center Counseling team. 

Steve specializes in Anxiety, Depression, Men’s Issues, Identity Issues, Addictive Habits, Trauma, Resilience Building, Pre-marriage and Marriage Communication, Family and Parenting Issues,  Executive Functioning, and Autism.     

Steve is married and has three young adult children.  He likes being outside, bicycling, adult learning, super-hero movies, playing board games, and traveling.  He is currently enrolled in the Encounter School of Ministry. He has been a member of the Shrine of the Little Flower Catholic community for over 30 years.
